Another custom wedding order! This time I created placecards and table numbers for a rehearsal dinner.
I was asked to make a collection of cards to be used for thank-you's that featured birds and bikes. These were super fun to create as I took myself shopping for some new crafty toys--namely, colorful corrugated paper and this nifty hole punch that makes scalloped edges. Below is what I came up with: 8 sets of cards, each featuring either birds, bikes, or "thank you" (I sure do follow directions well!)
The escort cards finally make an appearance!!!!!
Each escort card is a silver tent card, on top of which is white cardstock stamped with silver bubbles, on top of which is a piece of vellum printed with the guests' names. Reminds you of the placecards, right??! The 3 layers are secured by a knotted piece of dark gray velvet ribbon.
Now to share the entire ensemble together . . . inside each tent card will be a small white card printed with the table name. The bride and groom have selected 8 city names (all cities they have lived in!) to name each table. The placecards will be tied to each napkin at the place setting.
I couldn't let myself make all these fun paper wedding goods for my sister-in-law's wedding without making some cards as well (this is Pot Belly Bird, after all). So unbeknownst to the bride and in between all the work on the placecards and escort cards (photos soon!) and table markers this past month, I also managed to design and create coordinating thank-you cards! I mailed this gift to the bride and groom last week: a total of 40 thank-you cards (4 each of 10 designs) plus return address labels with the happy couple's names that coordinate perfectly that I designed at Wedding Paper Divas. Super fun to create! I used coordinating gray and sparkly silver paper, vellum, gray and white paper with a variety of designs, thick white textured paper, and thank-you rubberstamps with silver ink. Envelopes feature the same bubbly stamp as used on the placecards and escort cards. Happy Wedding!
Below are the "naked" cards before I embellished with various forms of "thank you."
And . . . after! So much more fun and lively. Close-up photos to follow!
Hi! I'm the creator of Pot Belly Bird, hailing from Spokane, WA. Here in my blog, I'll tell you about all the fun stuff I'm up to in addition to making cards, like cooking or biking or gardening!
